Every family has one baby who wins the prize as the biggest newborn, right? Well, until baby #11 was born in February 2008, our 2nd child, Catherine, held that elite status.
When Albert Lewis graced us with his presence at 8 pounds 9 ounces, he beat Catherine's record by a WHOLE pound!
I know a lot of you moms out there are going to say "under 9 pounds? Pshaw. Mere child's play. Let's talk about my 10 pounders!" And I freely admit that my babies are small compared to a lot of the bowling balls you heroic mothers have birthed. But for ME, Albert was big. Just ask Dr. John Bruchalski.
It has been exactly 2 years yesterday since I posted here on my blog. I will address the reasons why in another post.
But I just wanted to put my sweet Albert (who is now 6) out there as one of the kindest, gentlest giants this world will ever know. I don't love him nearly as much as he deserves, so I pray that God will help me be a better mother to him as he grows in virtue and strength.
St. Albert, St. Louis, and St. Thomas Aquinas--pray for my sweet son.
